How ClipPage Pro Works

All screenshot processing and text extraction happens locally on your device:

Screenshots are generated on your computer
Text recognition (OCR) is processed locally
Files are saved directly to your Downloads folder
Copied text goes to your clipboard only
Nothing is uploaded to any server
Nothing is transmitted over the internet
Your data never leaves your device

Permissions Explained

ClipPage Pro requests the following permissions to function:

activeTab: To capture the current webpage you're viewing
scripting: To inject screenshot capture and text extraction code into webpages
downloads: To save screenshots to your Downloads folder
storage: To save your preferences (like default capture mode, delay settings) locally on your device
clipboardWrite: To copy extracted text to your clipboard

These permissions are used ONLY for the core functionality of taking screenshots and extracting text. No data is collected or transmitted.

Analytics services (no Google Analytics, no tracking)
Advertising networks
Data collection tools
